  • Overview

    To ensure assemblies, subassemblies and fabricated components conform to specifications by providing appropriate quality documentation, by monitoring products and processes, and by assisting Quality Engineering in applying proven quality methods/tools. Participate or lead continuous improvement activities such as 6-sigma projects etc.


    • Manage Gage Calibration Program, which includes scheduling and coordinating the calibrations with both the gage owner and the outside service doing the calibration. It also includes minor maintenance on existing equipment as well as ordering and procuring the appropriate new equipment. Monitoring calibration costs and utilizing ‘Lean” approach to the Calibration program
    • Interface with Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Production in the resolution of product process problems by serving on the MRB as well as process improvement activities.
    • Interface with Quality Engineering and Design Engineering in the resolution of product design issues.
    • Assist Quality Engineers in the use and implementation of quality tools/ techniques such as design of experiments, design for manufacturability (DFM) Statistical Process Control (SPC) capability studies and gage R&R studies.
    • Assist Quality Engineers in the development, maintenance and control of Control Plans and Instructions (Inspection, Test, Audit)
    • Assist with Proto and Pilot runs by conducting First Article Inspections.
    • Help to ensure Acceptance Standards/ Criteria are understood throughout the organization
    • Support QA Auditing, Incoming Inspection as needed. Assist with the documentation and training of those functions.
    • Other job-related duties as required by the Process Quality Engineer and Quality Manager


    Minimum of High school diploma.; two year technical degree is preferred or the equivalent experience in Quality Assurance/ Quality Control; minimum of one year of experience with BUNN O MATIC manufacturing and two years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Quality Assurance field; must have a working knowledge of personal computers and preferably  with spread sheets and word processing; ability to read and understand  Engineering documentation such as drawings and bills of material (BOM); basic understanding of Quality tools techniques such as  SPC, DOE, Gage R & R and acceptance sampling; good communication and interpersonal skills in order to communicate with internal functions and cross-functional teams; good reasoning  ability  in order to define problems, collect data, establish facts, interpret results and draw valid conclusions.
